The French Institute Alliance Francaise (FIAF) is seeking a Junior Windows System Administrator to work as part of its Information Technology Team and be responsible for efficient operations and maintenance of client/server based computer systems. This is a paid internship with a one year commitment that could lead to a permanent position.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES PERFORMED - Depending upon assignment, duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Active Directory Accounts management (creation & troubleshooting)
- Network troubleshooting
- Software (installation / upgrade / troubleshooting)
- Hardware (workstation repairs)
- Printing (maintenance & inventory)
- FIAF Employees Support
MANDATORY SKILLS:
- Intermediate knowledge of Windows Server 2003/2008 administration including Active Directory, WSUS, IIS, DNS, and DHCP.
- Microsoft, Cisco, and CompTIA Certifications are a big plus
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - Any combination of education and experience that has provided the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for this position. A typical way of obtaining the required qualifications is to possess a Bachelor degree in information technology. Knowledge of French would be a plus but is not a requirement.
